Tom has been on the faculty of the NashCamp Banjo Camp, South Plains College Camp Bluegrass in Levelland TX, the Maryland Banjo Academy, the Tennessee Banjo Institute, Sore Fingers Bluegrass Week, England, the Nova Scotia Banjo Camp, the North Carolina Banjo Clinic and the Toronto Banjo Workshop with BNL's Ian Perry.

In addition to teaching at banjo camps and workshops, Tom has taught one-on-one lessons to hundreds of banjo students in the Pennsylvania-Maryland-Washington, DC area.

Three-time winner of the IBMA Banjo Player of the Year Award, Tom has recorded with Rhonda Vincent, Blue Highway, the Johnson Mountain Boys, and the Lynn Morris Band, among others. Tom is featured on Tony Trischka's Grammy-nominated Double Banjo Bluegrass Spectacular and the newly-released Foggy Mountain Special - A Bluegrass Tribute to Earl Scruggs.
