Chris Warner - Back Again 24 original tunes and songs from one of bluegrass music's most-respected banjoists. Known for his high-powered instrumental work with Jimmy Martin & the Sunny Mountain Boys, this CD showcases not only Chris Warner's banjo work but his songwriting as well. Eleven instrumentals and thirteen vocal numbers are featured. Chris gained national recognition for his distinctive banjo style working with Jimmy Martin from 1967 to 1969. During that period he played on Martin's classic Decca album, "Free Born Man", contributing the signature banjo solos to the title track that today's pickers still emulate. The music presented here was recorded on two LPs during Chris's return to Jimmy Martin's band in the late 1980s. Three alumni of the Sunny Mountain Boys, Dick Laird, Earl Yager and Audie Blaylock, are among the rock-solid musicians assembled to deliver Warner's unique brand of traditional bluegrass.
